I have failed in some things that made me disappointed but also succeeded in things that made me extremely proud of who I am as an individual and as a student as well. I can list many highlights of things that have made me truly proud of the work and effort I have put into projects or assignments, and the main one is the HTM 490 group project. This project is a semester long project that focuses on one specific business and our job as students is to better the business and find ways to increase the profit of the business. This semester, the topic was regarding the San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival. As students, we needed to come together as a team of 17 members and research ideas, data, analytics, etc. I can definitely say that it was one of the hardest things we have ever had to go through. From struggling to meet as a group more than once a week, to finding ideas and ways where we can win the project. Now that it is the end of the semester, I can say that I am truly proud of my team and I and how hard we have worked together. We have truly put our blood and sweat researching and staying up late nights figuring out ways to make our project as best as it could be. While I saw some of my group members practicing presenting to us, I got the chills and almost got teary eyes because of how far we have come. It was definitely not easy at first where everyone is confused, scared and intimidated by this project, but as a team we conquered all of our fears and questions. Working hard and giving your all will NEVER go to waste, you will see results. I told my team: "even if we do not win the project and another group does, you all better be so damn proud of the work, compromise and determination each of you has done throughout the entire semester." This has definitely been an adventure, a crazy, beautiful. challenging but the most rewarding experience I have ever faced!
